SPRING TRENDS

As I was reading through the latest issue of Seventeen Magazine (March 2010), they have predicted a few more spring trends.

The “destroyed” look. You can rock this trend via:

  • Tights
  • Bleached jeans/skirts
  • Cut-up bottoms

Mixed Prints

  • Stripes with floral
  • Abstract with stripes
  • Large prints with small

(As long as they have the same color scheme, they will look like they go together.)

Tribal

  • This was a trend of 2009:
  • Try a skirt or a scarf in the print. Nothing too drastic.

Prairie

  • Floral prints
  • Distressed jean fabric
  • Flowy skirts
  • Strong Belts

Floral/Roses

  • Roses on EVERYTHING. But in a tasteful way.

Military

  • I’m not too big of a fan of this trend. It is still continuing from winter.
  • Anything structured
  • Nature/Military colors: Beige/Khaki, Army green, Navy blue, white.

DESIGNER ALERT-SUPER STEAL!

Jean Paul Gaultier, designer extrodinaire, is collaborating with Target and launching an affordable line for the store. Don’t worry, it will still be chic! I have loved all of the exclusive designer lines at Target before, and I have a feeling this will be no different! The line launches March 7,2010 in over 250 stores nation wide. This is just a tiny teaser of what will be availiable”
