I’ve recently browsed through one of my favorite fashion websites,, under their “Shop the Closet” feature. I have mentioned this website before, because I get inspiration for this blog from there. “Shop the Closet” is a great way to look for clothing, accesories and makeup that celebritys and models have been spotted wearing.  Since I’m a girl on a budget, I chose to look at the “$100 and under” tab. Here are some of my favorites:

Ikat Dress– a fun tribal print dress.

Faceted Boulder Ring– classic yet funky ring.

Jersey Pocket T– casual tee.

Open Back Dress– cute dress with a little edge.

J. Crew Cardigin-classic cardigin in multiple colors.

Heart Pocket Skirt-fun navy skirt.

Acid Wash Jeans-Free People Skinny Jeans

So it is official, I am going to San Francisco during Spring Break. I picked a bad weekend though to go. I didn’t realize good Friday and Easter Sunday were falling on the days we will be up there for. My admissions advisor from FIDM told me the only day the campus will be availiable for a tour would be the Thursday I fly up. So pretty much right after my flight I’ll be heading straight there! During the four days that I will be there I will try to blog about how everything went, so stay in tuned!

I’m currently working on redrawing all of my old sketches so I can bring them up there with me. Also, FIDM is having their national scholarship competition which I am applying for; fashion desgin and  visual communications.(Since I am going to apply for them for the actual school just in case one does not work out. I would really love majoring in either :]) Also, Jo-Ann’s is having a scholarship competition I am entering to design a prom dress and accesories. I already have a design in mind, now I just need to DO it! My sewing skills are lacking, so this weekend I will sign up for classes through the store. So excited.

I recently downloaded Abobe Creative Suite 4 so I’ll be testing things on there and trying to get aquainted with it. (FIDM students use Adobe Illustrator, which is included in the package.)
